I am looking for a controls specialist join a top financial organisation withinManchester. The role will require you to come on board and help them with a new project within their business.Job Purpose:
The purpose of the role is to assist the Controls Supervisor to monitor the control environment, identify poorly performing controls and through collaboration to improve control efficiency and performance. The main area of focus for the role is to conduct quality assurance of Balance Sheet reconciliations and report on Balance Sheet integrity
Responsibilities
Balance Sheet Reconciliation quality assurance and remediation of reconciliation issues using the BlackLine system
Control reviews - other policy based control reviews as directed
Assistance and support of Supervisor in BCP maintenance, monitoring and coordination of testing activities across UK Finance
Perform ad-hoc data analysis and support projects and initiatives
Requirements for the role:
Understanding of the key attributes of a good Balance Sheet reconciliation
Good analytical capabilities and understanding of MS Excel
Interest and understanding in risk management and internal controls
Exposure to PeopleSoft general ledgers desirable but not essential.
Blackline experience desirable but not essential
Exposure to audit or SOX work desirable but not essential
The right candidate will have proven experience performing these actions at a high level whilst working within a financial setting.
Contract Role based inManchester: £150 per day
