Operational Change Analyst Wanted!

This position provides support to the Configuration Change Control Manager, specifically ensure the configurable parameter set is accurately managed and that changes to the system and processes are effectively evaluated and risk assessed.

Work Performed

Support the management of Operational Changes and Releases throughout the change and release management life cycle.

The life cycle includes: 

  • Creation of change requests 
  • Approving and submitting change requests to the Contractor 
  • Receiving change requests from the Contractor 
  • Conducting and minuting CAB meetings 
  • Creating and updating records 
  • Managing the configurable parameter set for the system 
  • SME liaison and approvals 
  • Monitoring testing activities 
  • Scheduling releases 
  • Gaining approval to implement releases 
  • Monitoring deployment activities 
  • Providing implementation early life support 
  • Post implementation reviews 
  • Identifying and fast-tracking emergency changes

Knowledge, Skills and Experience 

  • 3 + years support experience in an operational change management environment for critical services and infrastructure 
  • Excellent practical knowledge of the operational change and release management life cycles 
  • Proven operational change management experience relating to a complex configurable parameter set 
  • Knowledge and experience of ITIL 
  • Strong technical background in complex information technology environments 
  • Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word 
  • Good written and oral communication and presentation skills.
