Description
Oracle DBA - This is a Mid Level role that requires a minimum of 3 years of Oracle DBA experience.
Oracle DBA - Great opportunity to work in a great team environment on a 6 month project specifically focusing on an Oracle Database upgrade in a large user environment.
Oracle DBA - You will be part of a team of 3 responsible for developing, administering and maintaining the database along with focusing on an upgrade to Oracle 11gR2.
Oracle DBA - The role is in a great location to public transport and only a 5 minute walk from the station. They pay a great hourly rate and provide a friendly and relaxed work environment.
Oracle DBA - You will need the following requirements to be successful for this role:
Require between 3 to 6 years of experience in an Oracle DBA role
Experience in monitoring (OEM/Grid Control) and maintenance of large and multiple databases (Oracle 9 and 10)
Knowledge of postgre SQL & Microsoft SQL
Extensive knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems
Experience in designing scripts (both oracle and Unix level)
Experience in backup and recovery techniques and contingency planning of database systems
Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
Sound knowledge of and commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, Occupational Health & Safety, ethical work practices and Ethnic Affairs Priority Statement (EAPS)
Experience working in an ITIL environment or relevant certification
Governemtn experience is hugely advantageous for this role
