Proteus Europe operating as an employment business, is currently looking for a Functional Analyst who will be responsible for the translation of business requirements into functional requirements for projects in a web environment context.Function / Principal assignments
· This assignment is about analysing the business requirements. Obtain requirement descriptions on time from the business and challenge them to ensure the quality of the business requirements is to high standard.
· Translating the business requirements and formalizing them into understandable functional specifications capable of being utilized for technical design by the development team(s) and for test script preparation by the functional test team.
· Translate business requirements into a high quality functional design for applications in web environment context.
· When taking in business requirements challenge them to contain the scope of the content to able to stick to commitments.
· Interfacing with the functional test team. Make sure that test specification is in line with functional design.
· Key participant in change and defect management processes.
Principal responsibilities:
· Helping the project owners to implement their requirements on-time by writing the functional specification, and by getting a commitment on the content by the development team(s).
· Analyze and challenge the solutions proposed by the developers.
· Support during user acceptance testing.
· Defect analysis.
knowledge / experience:
Education & Soft skills Bachelor/Master or equivalent by experience
· Able to function effectively in a highly challenging environment including demanding business stakeholders, a complex organization and external partners.
· Able to express oneself, listen and communicate with various audiences - Business, Developers, Architects,
Infrastructure specialist.
· Diplomatic and collaborative skills are essential to the success in this role.
· Rigor and being methodical.
· Adapts quickly and easily.
Experience:
· At least 5 years experience in Functional Design.
· Sound knowledge of development methods, standards and tools.
· Experience of business analysis and functional design in a web environment context.
· Knowledge of SQL and Microsoft SQL Server is required.
· Banking experience is an advantage.
· Basic knowledge of different web technologies is an advantage.
· Knowledge of SIM (Selligent Interactive Marketing) tool suite is an advantage.
