We are looking to hire a Managing Director, Global Relationship Management to join our Non-US retail team.

BASIC PURPOSE:

Managerial responsibilities of Global Relationship Management Team. Using full judgment and discretion, assists the department head in carrying out the department's operation, goals, and objectives. Coordinates with the department head and field personnel on distribution activities and develops and implements tactical strategies for achieving superior sales levels. Maintains, strengthens, and expands existing industry-based relationships. 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees, represents, manages and supports members of the global relationship management team.
  • Monitors work, conducts performance appraisals and makes decisions regarding employment, training and development and compensation for direct reports.
  • Works with global relationship management team to develop and implement marketing strategies to grow market share with each dealer.
  • Assists the department head in the overall operation of the department and regarded as a senior leader within the MIL management team
  • Coordination with the department head in developing and implementing marketing campaigns, value-added programs, and sales literature.
  • Works with department head to make sure goals are understood and that proactive measures will be implemented to achieve them.
  • Assists in establishing and monitoring departmental budget for strategic alliances.
  • Acts as primary home office contact for selected significant global dealers
  • Maintains, strengthens, and/or expands existing relationships with selected dealers
  • Researches, defines and develops business opportunities in strategic markets
  • Develops, implements, and monitors sales/marketing plans with these dealers
  • Develops, directs, coordinates, and monitors sales/marketing plans with appropriate contacts (dealer home office, MFS field force, department head)
  • SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Very strong knowledge of how global dealers operate around the globe
  • Has thorough understanding of selected dealer objectives, programs, structure, and operations
  • Minimum of seven years related experience (either wholesaling and/or account management experience) within a global asset management environment
  • Deep understanding of MILs strategic markets (Western Europe & Latin America)
  • Thorough product and industry knowledge.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, ideally with a minimum of 3 years'direct or indirect people management experience.
  • Ability to operate in a global capacity with demonstrated cultural adaptability & credibility
  • Proven experience in development of new business opportunities
  • Position requires appropriate regulatory qualifications including FINRA & FCA qualifications, in accordance with MFS' licensing policy.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Professional communication skills
  • Fluency in another European language
