Risk Consultant (Regulatory Codes)

Contract Role

APPLICANTS MUST BE READILY AVAILABLE & ELIGIBLE TO WORK IN IRELAND.

& Must be flexible to travel between Ireland and the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Review and understand Irish Regulatory Codes:
  • Code of Conduct on Mortgage Arrears (CCMA);
  • Consumer Protection Code (CPC);
  • Code for SMEs  (SME); and
  • Minimum Competency Code (MCC).
  • Review compliance submissions on Regulatory Codes and understand gaps.
  • Review and understand client Risk feedback on submissions.
  • Engage with Stakeholders both in Ireland and the UK to understand requirements and current operating environment through one-to-one interviews:
  • Engage with internal Stakeholders to understand requirements and current operating environment through one-to-one interviews:
  • Document interviews and findings.
  • Develop gap analysis of regulatory requirements against the current as is operating environment.

Must be available and flexible to travel between Ireland and the UK.

SKILLS

  • Knowledge of Irish Codes (CCMA, CPC, SME and MCC) preferred but not essential.
  • General risk management experience, particularly operational risk and the design, operation and testing of control frameworks.
  • An individual with strong influencing skills who can manage relationships to a senior stakeholder level.

Experience

  • Previous experience of Risk assessment and consultancy.
  • Banking & Finance Industry experience essential;  
  • Proven stakeholder management experience;
