Position Description:

The Strategic Implementation Consultant delivers technical consulting and is responsible for implementing analytics best practices, and defining Companies data strategy, across all of clients network properties.

 The Strategic Implementation Consultant role provides overall guidance for analytics instrumentations and is responsible for gathering business reporting requirements to ensure data instrumentation is consistent with digital data strategies throughout the company.

 This role may also be involved with creating new solutions and policies at a Corporate Governance level and will be the primary influencer of standardized solutions that are shared throughout the company. This role will provide tactical support for the company's instrumentation efforts, including gathering requirements, providing technical documentation demonstrating how solutions will work and be implemented, providing analysis for troubleshooting and reporting, and will be the curator of analytics instrumentation documentation.

The Strategic Implementation Consultant will be the `shepherd' of the analytics instrumentation processes for digital products, be involved in creating solutions customized to each Business or Corporate client's exact business requirements and reporting needs, may assist in helping each site/client implement code throughout their website, create Solution Design Requirements, Technical Requirements Documents, QA Test Requirements, and may perform quality checks to ensure that analytics implementations have been completed thoroughly. Although not a programming position, this role will have frequent interaction with development and engineering teams.

This position includes all of the following aspects:

- In-depth knowledge of websites, technical platforms, business models and processes

- Experience with online marketing and advertising strategies related to Media and Content sites.

- Adobe/Omniture SiteCatalyst product expert

- Website analysis terminologies and methods

- HTML variants, JavaScript and other Internet technologies

- Knowledge of other digital platforms including mobile, video, CMS, ad sales, SEO.

- Project management - Technical writing

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Gather client business objectives and create Business Requirement Documentation (BRD)

- Translation of the BRD into a Solution Design Requirement (SDR) or Technical Requirement Document (TRD)

- Perform technical pre-assessment with IT personnel and assist in development of any risk assessment for new site projects.

- Consult on custom solutions or metrics required from the Analytics vendor

- New feature cost analysis and process

- Update the Wiki and create standardized solutions for use across all sites

- Document issues and best practices relating to specific platforms or configurations

- Administrator access and responsibilities within the Analytics platform

- Communicate constantly with sites/resources throughout the project life cycle, escalating important issues where needed

- Participate in the Corporate Governance meetings as required

- Debug implementation problems, JavaScript errors, and product functionality

- Coordinate with WebDev and QA resources to ensure timely implementation and testing, before and after release

- Fully understand customer requests, document them, and assign appropriate resources

Qualifications:

- 3+ years experience in Data Strategy, Instrumentation Integration and Digital Analytics fields.

- Experience with web and mobile analytics development, analysis and process with a preference for Omniture experience.

- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Visio required.
