Role: Interim Medical HR Manager

I am currently working with a client, an NHS Trust based in the London area, who require an experienced Interim Medical HR Manager to provide professional advice and support to the OD and HR functions, Medical Director, Lead Consultants/Clinical Leads, Medical Education Director, senior managers including OD/HR staff in relation to all medical HR matters.

The role is for an initial period of 3 months.

Brief Duties

*To be responsible for the provision of a high quality Medical HR services for the Trust. To work as a key member of the HR team and sustain effective and supportive working relationships and channels of communication to ensure Human Resource services meet operational needs.
*The post holder will provide professional leadership to the HR Advisors and will contribute to their personal/professional development as appropriate.
*As directed by the Assistant Director, OD, work with the Trust and contribute to deliver the Trusts' HR Strategy and the NHS Plan and contribute to the EWTD and New Deal working hour targets for training grade doctors and Improving Working Lives for Doctors.

Requirements

*At least 3 years experience within a Medical HR team
*Experience of providing professional/management support to teams
*Experience of supporting change management programmes
*Proven experience of providing advice to senior managers, including advising on Partnership working with staff side
*Facilitating and training skills
*Ability to work in a demanding and unpredictable environment
*Strong knowledge of Employment Law
*Thorough knowledge and understanding of the arrangements for the postgraduate medical training of junior doctors
*Understanding of the complex contractual relationship and interaction between the Postgraduate Dean's Dept and the Trust in relation to Junior Doctors
*Understanding of current NHS issues
*Knowledge of Medical policy issues eg Appraisal Scheme, Consultant Contract, clinical Excellence working time regulations, etc
*Ability to travel across different sites throughout the Trust - car owner not essential
