EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY:
This is an exciting new opportunity for a Systems Analyst with extensive knowledge of the Life and Pensions sector to work on-site for one of our well known and important Financial services client.
The Systems Analyst will be working directly for the client and liaising with their subject matter experts to determine the impact of regulatory Life and Pensions change on their applications and supporting the client through the life cycle to implement that change.
Work is to be delivered out of the client site in Reading, with the possibility of travel to Scotland.
Systems Analyst Skills
Experience of working in an IT environment within the Life and Pensions sector, focussing on experience of Mainframe development, whether on UNISYS or IBM using a selection of the following technologies in either a support or project delivery capacity
- Cobol
- DB2
- CICS
- JCL
- Micro Focus Cobol (Dialog/Workbench)
- ALGOL
- IBM MVS
- VS Cobol II
- SQL
Extensive Life and Pensions servicing knowledge is required for this role and the post holder must be able to demonstrate specialist knowledge within an IT development related environment (eg SQL, TurboBasic, tuboPascal, HTML)
Essential experience
- Strong Life and Pensions background [core L&P policy servicing knowledge) in IBM Cobol or Unisys Cobol
- Good experience of working directly with the business and influencing solutions
- Handoff experience with offshore teams
- Ability to hit the ground running and add value
