A local consulting firm working with a Federal Government agency to deliver experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer resource to join their team on a project.
The role offers you the opportunity to contribute towards an extremely well structured and mature environment, working on sophisticated enhancements and maintenance projects.
If you have come from a Oracle PL/SQL Developer background, been involved in large and complex projects and the maintenance of a large environments then this is an opportunity for you.
Job Description:
- At least 5 years experience with Oracle PL/SQL
- Thorough understanding of Oracle 11G features, Oracle development tools, SQL, Oracle SQL extensions and internal functions, and PL/SQL
- Expertise in advanced PL/SQL techniques in a 11G environment
- Expertise in SQL tuning of large database environments
- Experience programming PL/SQL batch environment utilizing large tables and high transaction throughput requirements
- Demonstrated experience in above in a production environment.
- Ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple development teams across concurrent project tasks
- Ability to provide technical expertise to junior team members and consult with other application developers to tune and performance test new and existing code base
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute complex engineering tests
- Formal Performance testing and tuning experience is a big plus
- Experience with Java technology is a plus
- Experience with Unix Shell Scripting is a plus
