Job Responsibility:
We are looking for a Network designer for a position in Midrand. Main activities will be for design, testing, implementation & support end to end activities within the team and will have long term experience of the Service Provider MPLS environment preferably in a Mobile SP with focus on the following.
Must have skills:
L2/L3 VPN within MPLS Core in SP
Traffic Engineering
Cisco ASR9K, ASR1K, CRS and GSR platforms
Cisco IOS and IOS-XR software
Testing, design, Implementation & support activities within MPLS network (Cisco Devices)
BGP, ISIS and OSPF routing configuration and troubleshooting
QoS configuration and troubleshooting in IOS and IOS-XR
Good IPv6 understanding
Advanced Layer 2 (VLAN, Spanning tree)
Desired skills:
Performances and Architecture testing tool exposure
Cisco catalyst platforms
Cisco 7200 series and ASR 1K
CCIE certification or equivalent
CCISP nice to have
