Description
Beacon Hill Technologies is currently searching for a Sr. Software Developer for a client in the Akron/North Canton area available for a 1 year contract.
Individual may be given general requirements in all areas of software development and support. Assigned tasks will be generally defined with the expectation that proper analysis will be performed and solutions found within the defined constraints. Experience with project management and leadership roles is assumed.
The individual will coordinate with supervising managers as necessary, and is expected to lead a project from conception through manufacturing, handling all day-to-day leadership duties.
Some essential functions of this position include:
- Coordinate the generation and evaluation of requirement, functional, and design specifications
- Generate and track project schedules and other project documentation pertaining to assigned and related projects
- Coordinate the assignment of material and human resources for projects
- Assume the role of project manager as assigned
- Design and implement software systems
- Adhere to established corporate development processes
- Coordinate the testing of software systems, including developing and executing unit, integration, and system test plans
as needed
- Confer with technical personnel outside the department and assist in the design of the system
- Submit software components to quality assurance groups and subsequent follow-up
- Support of software and system components
- Assist in routine (database management, version control, LAN issues) work and general support required of the
department
- Complete administrative duties as necessary including reporting hours worked, submission of status and expense
reports, generation of project schedules, tracking project data, and related
- Act as a resource and leader to other software engineers
- Supervise other individuals as assigned

Basic database skills

Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Five to ten years work experience in programming
