1. Job definition/Aim of the Job
The digital Back End designer is responsible for the physical layout of the chip design and the verification of it. Also timing closure of the design is part of the job, in cooperation with the Front End designers.
2. Area of expertise
We are looking for a Digital Backend Designer having the following competences/skills
- Basic knowledge of digital CMOS circuits and systems
- Affinity with analog & mixed-signal designs
- Experience with Cadence Encounter design environment
- At least 5 years experience in the required field
- Expertise in TCL and Shell programming
- Expertise in Linux
- Good communication skills
- Pro-active attitude
- Flexible team player
3. Responsibilities
You are responsible for the delivery of a fully verified layout design, which meets all technical requirements provided by digital Front End designers. Your input will be a RTL-synthesized netlist and constraints. The flow is a SOC-flow within the Cadence design environment.
The product is Mixed Signal, you are responsible for toplevel integration of analogue IP and digital core design. This includes floorplanning, analogue routing, P&R, timing closure and physical verification.
You will be part of a design team and interacting with analogue layout designers, Front End designers and architect.
