OPERATIONS EXCELLENCE - BANKING OPERATIONS - BRIGHTON
My client is looking to hire Operations Excellence contractors to join their change management team based in Brighton. While the base location is Brighton you will be expected to make regular visits to other operational sites around the country.
The purpose of the role:
You will provide Operations Excellence to lead and implement good Operations Management practices across business units. You will need coach service excellence capability, putting the customer at the heart of what the business does, through deployment of Lean Sigma and System Thinking methodologies within the operations they are working in.
Core Skills Required:
- Experience of building operational capability through deployment of Lean Sigma and system thinking methodologies is a must
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to present factual information to individuals or groups in a structured, clear, confident and concise way
- Experience of working with external third party firms and suppliers
- Engagement with a diverse group of stakeholders to influence and shape the direction of a project to meet set milestones
- Use of established project management methodologies and frameworks, specifically during the Initiation and Study stages of the project life cycle
- Excellent project planning skills
- Candidates must be experienced Lean/Operations Excellence practitioners
- Understands good Operational Management practices
- Ability to understand business problems and design and implement relevant solutions
- Experienced in Coaching, Consulting & Influencing at all levels
Desirable Skills:
- Financial Services Back Office operations environments is preferred but not essential
Rate: £450 per day
Location: Brighton, Sussex (regular travel throughout UK)
Duration: 6 - 9 months
Start: Early August 2013
