We are recruiting for a Financial/Data Analyst to join the finance team on a 12 month fixed term contract with a view to a permanent contract.
The salary offered is up to £35,000 per annum (dependant on experience) + benefits package
Core hours 8:30am -4:30pm, although must be flexible during peak periods
Overview
This role is responsible for two key areas which is the reporting and analysis of service quality standards & forecasting & managing SLA's with airlines by reporting of airline traffic.
Strong analytical, data analysis & reporting skills are required together with the ability to interpret massive volumes of data to draw a forecast from this. The individual will have the experience and/or aptitude to understand and effectively translate data to see the bigger picture. A sound business sense is needed as aspects of the role will have a strong commercial focus.
Key areas of responsibilities
- Provide management information on a weekly & monthly basis in areas such as asset downtime & security queuing performance
- Understand & explain operational performance, preparing summarised analysis & data inputs to monthly business performance reports to executive management & shareholders
- Forecasting & reporting of airline traffic
- Understanding inputs from numerous data sources to prepare transparent, accurate short term traffic forecasts
- Work collaboratively with Airline business development team to ensure an aligned view of the forecast is presented
- Provide weekly & monthly traffic reports - presentation of data, explanation of emerging trends
- Analysis of data metrics
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven analytical & data interpretation skills
- Essential IT skills with use of data interrogation tools such as Business Objects, and excellent proficiency of Excel (including VBA) & Powerpoint
- Previous experience within a finance function is desirable but not essential
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Confident in influencing business managers with proven ability to present a compelling argument through written, numerical and oral presentations.
- Ability to work on own initiative and without close supervision.
- Ability to interpret and compile a broad range of complex technical accounting analysis and evaluate options.
- Ability to show leadership in areas of expertise.
