A potential opportunity has arisen to join a high profile client in Liverpool. The Employee Relations Specialist will bring expertise on employee relations to a heavily unionised environment. They will lead on the development of an Employee Relations Framework.

Key tasks/deliverables:

  • Drive and oversee all Employee Relations (ER) initiatives within the organisation, working closely with the Board, SMT, HR and Change colleagues
  • Develop an ER Strategy and TU Facilities Agreement aligned to business needs
  • Advise and support all parts of the business on ER matters to ensure their effective management
  • Advise on pay related matters including pay reviews, reward strategy and changes to pay related terms & conditions

Essential Skills/Knowledge:

  • Degree and/or full CIPD qualification
  • In depth knowledge of UK Employment Law
  • Strong project management skills
  • Well developed writing skills - ability to produce appropriate drafts of letters and staff communications for Director/CEO
  • TUPE experience
  • Experience of planning and delivering employee relations initiatives within a highly unionised, multi site organisation
  • Ability to work at both a strategic and operational level
  • Ability to assess potential problems and make sound judgement on issues that may have an adverse effect on the business from an ER perspective.
