Description
The client is one of the UK`s leading renewable energy developers and operators. The client is looking to grow their team at the Headquarters by hiring a Project Planner to get involved in their new offshore wind farm project.Principal Accountabilities:
- Providing project planning (scheduling) support to the project team via the Senior Planner
- Manage the project schedules in accordance with the project work breakdown structure and ensuring that project schedules are developed.
- Assuring that project plans are regularly updated and within levels of certainty to allow effective monitoring, forecasting and control
- Ensuring that project schedules conform to the Change Control Process, in terms of liaison, communication and calculation of change notes and change orders
- Ensure that standard Project Planning requirements are met, understood and embedded from both Contractors and Sub-Contractors into the project systems
- Producing planning reports for input into the monthly reporting process
- Carrying out risk analysis, weather downtime analysis and delay mitigation analysis
Knowledge and Skills:
- Extensive experience in planning of large construction projects (such as power, oil and gas companies or general engineering consultancies) in multi-discipline teams
- Extensive knowledge of the software tools Primavera and MS Project
- Knowledge of PERTmaster or similar would be an advantage
- Experience of planning offshore or marine construction works would be an advantage
- Good interpersonal skills
- Fluent English (oral and writing)
- Willingness to travel
