Description
A global pharmaceutical and medical device company Northern Suburbs of Illinois is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join its Research and Development team for a 12 month contract opportunity. This engineer will be responsible for providing systems engineering support to the program and engineering team to identify requirements, risk management, verification and validation.Responsibilities include:
- Systems engineering leadership tasks such as:
- Mitigating program technical risks and issues
- Tracking to closure all system issues/ensuring proper documentation
- Delegating tasks to Requirements Analysts and other Systems Engineers
- Product Definition tasks such as:
- Identifying patent opportunities and maintaining program feature descriptions
- Maintaining user and stakeholder needs
- Creating and maintaining use cases, where appropriate
- Product Risk Management tasks such as:
- Creating tracing to cover risk controls
- Conducting risk assessmenys
- Product Requirement tasks such as:
- Creating Design Input Documents (DID)
- Creating tracing at all levels of the requirements flow down
- Reviewing content of subsystem level specifications
- Generating the master trace matrix document
- Program Verification and Validations tasks including:
- Planning and exectuting System Verification and Validation
- Creating tracing of verification coverage of DID and providing content for Design Verification and Validation Readiness Review
Requirements include:
- Bachelors degree (highly preferred in Engineering) - Masters Degree is preferred
- 6-10 years of systems engineering experience (less experience required if Masters degree earned)
- Proficiency with extensive analysis, worst case, tolderance, stress, reliability, and FMECA
- Experience within Medical Device industry
- Experience with embedded systems development
