My Public Sector client are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join the Finance Function on an interim basis. This role will be a seven month contract and will be based in Liverpool.
Day to day responsibilities:
*Play an active part as a member of the Corporate Services directorate Management Team, leading the organisation and undertaking corporate duties..
*As Head of Service, with the Business Management Group (BMG), take a lead role in developing the organisation, ensuring a continued focus on achieving VFM.
*Fully engage and participate in a corporate change programme
*Support the Board and its committees as required
*Work as part of a wider Corporate Services directorate, bringing together skills and expertise for both offices into a single, coherent and enabling organisation.
*Deliver a finance strategy for the business, which includes ensuring the effective maintenance & development of systems
*To develop and implement financial accounting, budgeting & financial planning policies & practices, providing advice to the Board and committees.
*Produce completed and accurate financial and management accounts, including asset management, to an agreed timetable
*Coordinate strategic workforce planning in support of the business
Experience required:
Extensive line management experience at a senior level;
Experience of managing and delivering change;
Experience of providing specialist advice to senior teams and Boards;
Experience of accounting in a project environment;
Experience of overseeing the implementation of finance systems and development of complex financial models.
