Maritime Investment Software Engineer

Our global defence client is looking for a Maritime Investment Software Engineer to join their busy team in Hampshire. They will need to undertake software engineering activities in support of the implementation of a number of new acoustic systems at UK ranges. The task initially involves the development of sub-system requirement, interface control documents and statements of work as part of the architectural design.
Responsibilities of the successful candidates:
- Supporting software activities across the project life cycle including:
- generation of sub-system requirements, statements of work and interface definitions/documents; detailed design and development of software;
- integration of third party software;
- verification and validation of developed and procured software;
- investigation of problems and the proposal of resolutions.
- Working with range, engineering and analyst staff to help to support design, integration and problem solving.
- Supporting trials and commissioning activities.
Must have:
- An understanding of Software Engineering and a track record of applying this knowledge to deliver software with a defined level of control and agreed quality standard;
- Experience in the development of signal processing software;
- Experience of development in C/C++/C#.
- Qualified to at least University Honours Degree;
- UK Driving Licence
