Description
A Software Engineer with an expertise in Smart Card/Java Card required by global leading semiconductor organisation on a contract basis (first contract until the end of 2013 with extension) in Austria. The organisation is the world leader in contact and contact less identification systems. Focus for this role is as part of the Software development team working in the area of smart card operating systems & applications development, qualification and certification.Job Responsibilities
-Implementation of ``on-card`` Software/Firmware for smart card microcontrollers
-Design & development using secure code implementations together with cryptographic algorithms Design and implementation for performance optimization
-Implementation and execution of software tests
-Unit/functional test cases - Definition of software design, code and test plans/needed test coverage
-Contribution to software Architecture and design considerations
-Support for Common Criteria security evaluation and payment industry certifications
-Familiarity and comfortable working with international standards
-Contribution to effort estimation and project planning
Job Requirement
-Masters Level Degree from a recognized University (Engineering or Computer Science)
-Smart card Operating Systems (``on-card`` development) experience
-Secure coding practices/methods and knowledge of cryptography
-Programming skills on embedded microcontrollers (8051, ARM, or similar), Javacard, C/C++, Assembler, Java experience
-Contact/contactless smart card protocols (ISO7816, ISO14443)
-Open Platform (Global Platform 2.1.x., 2.2), VISA, Mastercard, EMVco Standard
-Smart card applications (Payment, eGovernment, Public transport) experience
Personal Skills
-Eligible candidates MUST hold an EU passport or have long term residency in Austria
-MUST worked as a contractor before
-Good knowledge of English language. German language skills would be desirable
