Software Developer 6 month CONTRACT in London. Proteus Europe, operating as an employment agency, is seeking an experience Software Developer to work in London on a 6 month contract. Our client, a leading corporation is looking for a Software Developer to help develop a new system that will operate along side existing systems. As a Software Developer you are required to have as a minimum, the following skills: -- C++ programming for at least 5 years.
- Experience with using STL for at least 3 years.
- Programming using MS Visual studio 10.0
- Exposure and experience of developing and debugging multi-threaded applications on the Windows and Linux platforms.
- Knowledge of OO design and programming concepts.
- Programming in a Windows environment for at least 5 years
- Programming knowledge of Red Hat Linux for at least 5 years
- Experience of using a software configuration management tools, preferably Perforce.
In addition, the following would be desirable:
- Experience of working with telecoms operating and support systems (OSS).
- Working knowledge XDR encoding
- Java programming for at least 5 years.
- Working knowledge of Java Message Queue
- Programming experience of TCP and sockets
