As a Video and Software Development Engineer you will work alongside the existing architect and development team working on on internal software applications including video products and services development.
You will be involved in design and development of video processing tools and functions to manipulate video and audio including Mpeg4, Mpreg2, Mpeg1 and AAC audio. Design and code software using Java, Perl and variations of C. Implement web interfaces using HTML, CSS and Javascript where relevant. Write and run unit and integration tests. Carry out software deployments, time estimation and provide end user documentation as required.
Technical Skills should include the following:
- Video Coding and Encapsulation - MPEG4, MPEG1, AAC, Smooth Streaming, HTTP Live streaming and HTTP dynami.c Streaming
- Ability to develop against Java and variations of C to a medium/strong level
- Web protocol funadamentals
- HTML, CSS
- GIT, Subversion
