IT Manufacturing Systems Engineer

Our client is recruiting for a technical IT contractor for their manufacturing site in Geel. This position will work in a team of +/- 7 IT professionals (internal + external) that is responsible for all IT related services and initiatives on the site. He/she will collaborate with business partners as well as other IT service teams to ensure end-to-end service coverage
Within the team, this position will have a strong focus on the Manufacturing Execution system (werum PAS/X), and some in-house built systems supporting production reporting etc.
Responsibilities include application support during the migration towards the upgrade that we are implementing for yearend, involvement in improvement initiatives, change/project implementation tasks and technical support. Candidates should agree to a round robin of 24x7 on call assistance
Responsibilities
*Deliver service support in the area of Werum Pas-X on the project implementation
*Build and maintain working relationship with key business stakeholders.
*Partner with internal and external suppliers and service providers on projects and changes on tactical and operational level.
*Ensure IT changes and interventions are conducted in a compliant way.
*Provide cross-functional L1 support to (key-)users and L2 support for MES services.
*Partner with L3 stakeholders (internal IT teams and suppliers) to coordinate resolution of incidents and changes.
*Possibly participate in a standby rotation to provide application support on a 24x7 basis for business critical applications
This function will report into the IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) at the site in Geel:
Qualifications/Competencies
*Degree in information technology or computer sciences or proven professional experience
*5+ years experience in IT, preferably in a regulated environment (Pharmaceutical, Chemical, )
*Experience in manufacturing and related IT systems support is a strong advantage, ideally with MES environments
*Proven experience with reporting and database environments (Oracle)
*Experience in working in a global environment with remote stakeholders
*Broad understanding of technology (infrastructure and applications)
*Solid relationship-building skills, self-starter, eager to learn and a team player with a positive attitude.
*Knowledge of the formal System Development Life Cycle methodologies.
*Experience in managing small/medium size projects is a plus
*English & Dutch speaking
