Swedish speaking Fiber Planning Engineer
1x Swedish Fiber Planning Engineer is needed on a contract basis in Stockholm Sweden. On behalf of one of our prestigious clients in telecommunications, we are looking for a Swedish speaking fiber planning engineer to start ASAP on contract basis in Stockholm Sweden. Fluent Swedish and English is required for application, so is work eligibility in Sweden.
Responsibilities
- HLD/LLD planning of access networks and leased lines according to customer requests and planning and implementation processes and guidelines for FTTX-customers.
- Expansion of access network/access equipment in order to meet customer demands (access Switches, CWDM-systems).
- Access handling towards leased line suppliers regarding leased lines.
- Request for quotation and order of new leased line according to customer request.
- Follow up on delivery of leased line in order to meet customer requested delivery times.
- Interaction with customer technical and order interfaces.
- Transmission equipment lay out plan, space requirements, fiber termination racks lay outs, fiber patch terminals lay outs for all transmission nodes.
- Material Management: Order and keep track of material based on the project/implementation scope. Follow up with logistics partner to ensure timely material availability for transmission Equipment
- Update of relevant documentation.
- Guide Field Engineer with relevant information when necessary under installation.
- Use of best-practice planning, design, optimization, O&M and reporting

Requirements
- 3-5 years working experience in Telecommunications with at least 3 years involved in Transport Technologies.
- Previously experience in working with Fibre Networks/Optics
- Previously experience in working with layer 2 and layer 3 is desirable.
- Previously experience in working with FTTX access planning in Sweden.
- Knowledge of Swedish access leased line suppliers/procedures desirable.
- Swedish and English language skills, in oral and written.
- Relevant Communications Engineering/Computer Science Degree
