Sr. Project Manager exp in Software Application Development Projects
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Solid experience as a Sr. Project Manager within software application development projects, project life cycle process, initiation, requirements gathering, analysis and design, software engineering development, application testing, development tools release and version control with ability to transfer this knowledge to project teams and interface with all levels within an organization.
- Requires a software application development solutions-oriented project manager with effective verbal and written communications skills and soft skills combined with effective time management and organization skills while successfully meeting timelines and deliverable for multiple projects in a fast pace environment.
- Requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to think strategically, highly adept at problem resolution, multi-tasking and proficiency in root cause analysis.
- Requires excellent organization and time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proven experience working under production pressure and scheduling, effective in managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Requires experience in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, applications software development, application development processes, project life cycles requirements and definition, Rational Unified Process (RUP), Agile, Waterfall, eXtreme Programming, Rapid Application Development (RAD), Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF), Solution Development Methodology (SDM), Compliance (SOX), experience in best practices; gathering functional and technical requirements; creating technical requirements documentation; identifying and tracking multiple project schedules, budgets, timelines, milestones, deliverables and release management;
- Will identify solutions-based processes and workflows; provide interface planning; coordinate development, testing and tracking; identifying and resolving defects/bugs; and assisting team members in troubleshooting technical issues.
- Will create tracking status reports for multiple projects to present overall impact of projects to budget, timelines, deliverables and release management during weekly project review meetings with all levels of the internal and external stakeholder and clients.
- Knowledgeable of PMI's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and Organizational Project Management Framework (OPM3), SW CMM/CMMI/ISO and compliance.
- A PLUS: CERTIFICATION in PMP, Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI); A PLUS: PMP PMO Certification .
- EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: BS Degree. A PLUS: MS Degree or M.B.A. Degree with Sr. Level experience as a project manager within software application development, project life cycle process, initiation, requirements gathering, analysis and design, software engineering development, application testing, development tools release and version control with ability to transfer this knowledge to project teams and interface with all levels within an organization plus Sr. Level experience as a Project Manager in software application.
