The role

Market leader in supply chain management seeks motivated systems administrator for an exciting new role. The primary focus of the role is to maintain and support the day-to-day operations of both the systems and the enterprise applications - with a large focus on internal and external networks.

Sitting within a team of three, reporting to the technical services manager, you will administer a diverse range of business systems both in-house and web enabled solutions across Melbourne & Sydney.

Microsoft - MCITP (up to date)

CISCO - CCNA (up to date)

VMWARE (up to date)

CompTIA A+ Certified Technician

Windows Server/Exchange Server 2010/Forefront threat management gateway 2010/SQL Server/SharePoint/Acronis Backup/Symantec/Juniper/Microsoft Office 2010/Remote Access/Server Hardware/storage/Shoretel

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform network Servers and relevant server application system administration

Respond, diagnose, and resolve reported problems with server, desktop and peripherals which provide data/voice/video service

Automate Server/Desktop and other network activities using Windows Group policies and scripts

Provide advanced technical support for installation, upgrading and maintenance of specialized and custom software such as patch management, email filtering, network monitoring, etc

Plan and deploy a variety of applications and processes that depend on the Servers, including but not limited to backup, off-site tape rotation, disaster recovery preparedness, directory and time synchronization, network printing, remote server management, remote user access, and system security

Perform regular maintenance and audit of server systems, including security audit, software patch level and network software metering.

Remain on-call or on-site after-hours for scheduled maintenance and upgrades as approved/discussed with Technical Services Manager
