An established and high profile NSW Government department is looking for an experienced Information Architect/Data Modeller to produce current and future logical and physical data models to support the department's transition from its current Mainframe system to relational database and associated applications
The successful candidate will be responsible for (but won't be limited to) the following:
- Develop future and current data models at physical and logical levels
- Work with project teams as the information architect throughout the life cycle of the project and be the point of contact for all data related issues.Produce an information/data architecture with multiple products and bespoke applications
- Design data interfaces and integration with/between internal systems as well as with other external agencies
- Integrate all systems data models in one enterprise model and produce relevant artefacts
- Monitor and support the data migration process
To be successful you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Minimum 10 years IT experience and 5 year's experience in information architecture and Datamodelling with the ability to produce logical and physical data models at both a high level and detailed level
- Experience in planning, design, construction and delivery of data solutions to match business requirements for a large organisation
- Extensive experience in the use of Datamodelling tools
- Demonstrated experience in the design and use of XML schemas and web services for system integration and data exchange
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex, mission critical data migration
