Duties

  • Conduct change impact assessments
  • Research and analyse communication needs of change impacted DVA staff, clients and providers
  • Design and create communication and marketing artefacts for a wide range of internal and external audiences.
  • Apply appropriate writing style and tone for a range of media channels and audiences.
  • Facilitate presentations and workshops
  • Provide advice on effective communication techniques
  • Provide advice on stakeholder management

Expected Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience and the ability to provide advice in strategic internal and external communications
  • Ability to write for a range of different audiences/channels including but not limited to marketing material, social media, and popular articles
  • Good understanding of Government communication processes
  • Experience in delivering presentations to small and large groups
  • Experience with speech writing is desirable but not essential
  • Prepared to work on communications, change management and training tasks as required by the program
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be able to work in both a small team environment and independently with minimal direction, while maintaining high productivity

The expected qualifications and experience required for the role include:

  • Qualifications in English, communications, journalism or related fields is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with developing documentation and presentations using the Microsoft Office suite.
