DUTIES:

  • Provide specialist services for Exchange 2010 in a Microsoft based server infrastructure environment.
  • In conjunction with department managers, prioritise, analyse and complete tasks according to the nature and urgency of the request.
  • Assist with hardware and software configuration within the Standard Operating Environment (SOE) of the organisation.
  • Provide 3rd level Support services for Exchange 2010 server and infrastructure issues, as required.
  • Participate in resolver groups as part of the problem resolution process.
  • Implement changes to departmental systems SOE strictly in accordance with departmental change control procedures.
  • Comply with processes and procedures, in particular ITIL change management process.
  • Maintain data and office security and system integrity in accordance with Departmental Security Instructions.
  • As required, provide advice for ongoing maintenance of the organisation's ICT infrastructure.

SKILLS

  • Extensive knowledge and experience administrating clustered Microsoft Exchange 2010 in a Windows 2003 and/or 2008 environment, Active Directory and related management products.
  • High level of Scripting skills, in particular Powershell Scripting.
  • Highly developed problem diagnostic skills.
