This position will manage a mobile migration project across the enterprise (8 regions with 25 service areas). High-level responsibilities include: managing overall project plan and managing project budget. The position will partner with several other teams to ensure project communications are handled, training courses are created and deployed, and that business processes are ready for the new solution. The position also works with deployment teams to ensure the platform is rolled-out per the enterprise schedule.
Responsibilities:
Manage a complex project consisting of numerous interdependent work tracks
spanning multiple business units and portfolios.
Manage the development and maintenance of the overall project plan.
Design and manage training plan.
Develop framework and manage the tracking of interdependencies within and across
team initiatives.
Manage project scope.
Responsible for maintaining and reporting on project metrics.
Handle or escalate performance issues.
Provide consulting for project team.
Determine resource requirements and work with business areas resources.
Assign work, set priorities & provide guidance in the completion of tasks and deliverables.
Collaborate with communications team. This includes identifying stakeholders, appropriate
communication channels, and key messages. Also includes proactively
communicating with enterprise-wide projects to plan and manage dependencies.
Responsible for developing and managing risk plans.
Manage all phases of the project delivery life cycle.
Develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity and innovation. This includes providing assistance to other project managers on problem resolution or other project related issues that may impact project progress.
Requirements:
A minimum of 6 years project management experience.
Healthcare industry knowledge.
Information technology experience.
Four year degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Project Management Profession (PMP) from the Project Management Institute preferred.
Extensive MS Project knowledge
Demonstrated understanding of IT methods and all phases of project management.
Advanced knowledge of policies, practices and systems.
Sustains strong ongoing relationships with client, middle and senior management.
Ability to influence others and build strong partnerships.
Team and service oriented.
Demonstrated strategic thinking.
Ability to deal with broad range of people.
