Argyll Scott International is recruiting a Finance Manager for an Media organisation based in Central London on a Fixed Term Contract basis for 6-12 months. The role will pay up to £60,000 on a pro rata basis to start next week.

Purpose of the role
To provide first class financial reporting, analysis and commercial support. The Finance Manager supports the Finance Director UK and the Head of Finance implementing and managing financial reporting and controls, supporting the department and the company in achieving its objectives.

Accountabilities
Completion of weekly and month-end reporting through analysis and interpretation of results and commentary against budget, prior year and latest forecasts.

Completion and review of balance sheet accounts, ensuring that accounting policies and applicable local financial regulations are observed, in order to meet departmental objectives.

Responsible for the planning and delivery of the annual and quarterly planning process through the provision of supporting schedules and analysis, ensuring compliance with reporting and strategic requirements.

To identify and effectively communicate opportunities to improve revenue and increase profitability of the Merchandising & Licensing business in order for the company to meet its financial targets and KPI's.

To combine commercial and financial knowledge of the Merchandising & Licensing industry to improve the accuracy of the financial reporting and value added to the business.

Communicate, report, and advise relevant data and trends to the Finance Director and wider business as necessary in order to aid the development of a strong financial control and reporting environment, and to promote financial understanding throughout the organisation.

Support the Merchandising & Licensing teams in the financial review of historical and prospective investments, ensuring that Investment processes are adhered to and that investment decisions are made with full visibility/knowledge of the financial implications.

Support the integration of Non Traditional/New Business activities to the division, providing value add analysis and recommendations, in order to meet departmental and company objectives.

Motivate and manage the performance of your Team. Developing individuals to realise the skills and capabilities needed to deliver the required results and provide support to your team as necessary.

Complete other ad hoc analysis as required in order to meet your team, the wider Finance Team and the regional objectives.

Relationships

Regular (at least weekly) catch ups through facetoface meetings with your finance team and your direct reports. To enable review of workload, deadlines and development/progress versus objectives.

*Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
*Strong at time management.
*Excellent accounting knowledge gained from a professional accounting qualification (ACA,ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
