To work on delivering Java enterprise applications within the scope of Language Machine Translation, the team is looking for a skilled person dealing with mainly evaluation of machine translation services, creating work package specifications for suppliers, controlling deliverables and its quality. Additionally this person shall deal with data administration and develop software prototypes (JAVA).
TASK/DELIVERABLES:
- translation quality evaluation by reading the translated documents.
- Integration of translation services using JAVA and web-services (HTTP(S), REST).
- Developing and operating converter/parser for XML data
- Searching for documents using existing databases (SQL)
- Document and database administration
- System test for various applications
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in evaluation of translation quality provided by machine translation providers
Experience in parsing converting large size XML documents
Strong development experience within:
- Language: JavaEE, JDK 5+, SLES-10, bash-script, frameworks: SVN, Eclipse
- Web-services: API-RESTful
- XML processing: XML Schema, XSLT, Format converting,
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work in Den Haag/NL
Willing to work most time on data administration and tasks management
Skills:
fluent in English, very good skills in Dutch or Italian.
