Our client, a progressive Insurance company based in Dublin, is now looking to recruit an IT Change Delivery Manager. The successful candidate''s role is to plan, coordinate, and manage all activities related to the design, development, QA and implementation of technology and software applications across the organisation. The role holder is also responsible for maintaining, supporting, and upgrading existing systems and applications. This individual will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide the team on issues related to the SDLC and Project Management for all technology systems companywide. The IT Change Delivery Manager will have responsibility for the IT Programme Office Team, Application Development and Support Teams. Responsibilities Strategy amp; Planning Working closely with the Head of the Planning amp; Programme Management Office in terms of the demand and coordinating of the IT pipeline of work to support the Business planning. Overall responsibility for the portfolio of IT projects and to ensure IT enabled business outcomes; maintain a calendar of commitments and understand technology dependencies. Working closely with the IT Business and Relationship Manager and IT Services Manager to ensure effective utilization of our people to deliver in accordance with priorities agreed with PPMO. Ensure that all change and projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve business need and issues. Review and analyze existing application effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems. Acquisition amp; Deployment Responsible for the consistency, quality and transparency in how projects are delivered, IT release management and managing risks and issues along with the IT change management. Manage the development and deployment of new applications, systems software, and/or enhancementsto existing applications throughout the enterprise. Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications. Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and business system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications. Operational Management Manage and provide direction for the application developmentamp; support team in support of business operations. Identify and resolve program errors; focusing on problem management for all applications Provide technical leadership to project managers and programmers working on development project teams. Design, develop, and install enhancements and upgrades to systems and application software ensuring this adhere to agreed standards in accordance with Technology Programme support of the Knowing What Matters Strategy. Prepare, establish, and monitor budgets to support IT change initiatives Supplier and third party relationship management Position Requirements Formal Education amp; Certification Degree in computer systems design or computer science and 10 years equivalent work experience, preferably in the Insurance or Financial Services Industry. Certifications in Prince2, PMBOK project management methodologies Knowledge amp; Experience 10 years direct experience in software development and/or programming design and systems management. 10 years direct experience in managing SDLC and in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of technology solutions. Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies. Extensive experience with core software applications Excellent project management skills andsubstantial exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc. Knowledge of database design and file management techniques.
