Upstream Economic Modelling Analyst - £40k~ London

An outstanding opportunity has arisen in the London office with my client; one of the Big 6 Management Consultancies in the world. This outstanding company with a spectacular reputation are looking for an Upstream Economic Modelling Analyst to join the team.

The Role:

The Upstream Economic Modelling Analyst will sit within this specialist upstream analytics team who provide economic analysis, consulting and economic modelling solutions to the world-wide oil and gas industry including financial institutions, industry leaders and other consultancies.

The Upstream Economic Modelling Analyst will have responsibilities for contributing to the evolution of the upstream oil and gas valuation models that the team build. Additionally the role will include contribution to various advisory projects in which these economic models are used and the right candidate will need to have strong communication and presentation skills to be able to interact with the key leading upstream oil and gas professionals that will be involved in these projects.

The Candidate:

- Strong Degree in a numerate subject from a top tier University. Ideally degree in Finance, Economics, Petroleum or related.

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and VBA for analytical purposes.

- Experience of VBA and VB.NET is essential for the candidate to fully contribute to technical evolutions of the economic models.

- An understanding of Discounted Cash Flow (DCF Analysis) is essential.

- Ideal candidate will have between 2-5 years of experience / exposure within the Upstream Oil Industry (can be strong internships for junior candidates)
