My prestigious client within the chemical industry is currently looking for a SharePoint functional application Expert to join their team in Brussels.

Overall Responsibilities
- Ensure, as third line support, the functional maintenance and development of the existing SharePoint 2007 platform functionalities
- Lead or actively participate as main SharePoint expert to dedicated development and project activities
Main Activities
- As third line support, receive and handle second line escalated incident, user support and service request according to defined procedures and in respect to internal SLA.
- Coach and train second line support. maintain their solution knowledge level
- Ensure controlled change management, facilitate communication with end user community and coordinate testing effort
- Actively participate to the steering and global administration of the 2007 environment from a application functional perpective.application functional perpective.
- Ensure that related SharePoint solutions are used and administrated according to defined governance.
- Promote best practices and recommend improvement initiatives to increase application performance, the client template usage adherence and utilization efficiency.
- Support related user community and business stakeholders, maintaining knowledge level, providing advice and training, providing up to date FAQ...
- Ensure onboarding of implemented development and project within support activities through knowledge acquisition and support technical documentation maintenance..
- Participate to the SharePoint 2013 project by supporting site migration, knowledge transfer and transition to a new service model
Other Activities
- Occasionally, act as second line support, receiving, classifying, analysing and handling incident, user support and service request according to defined procedures and in respect to internal SLA.
- Create new site and site collection based on template and onboard new site administrator. Maintain some basic custom SharePoint elements
- Site Portfolio life cycle management
Education
- Degree, minimum Bachelor, within Business Administration/Engineering/Computer Science with minimum 8 years relevant professional experience. Long relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
Skills
- Minimum 4 Years experience in SharePoint platform administration, preferably covering 2007 version.
- Require experience in SharePoint administration and development . Certification is a plus.
- Additional expertise in SharePoint add-on products, particularly Nintex, Infopath, SharePoint Designer will be highly appreciated.
- Proven track record of IT operations and service delivery, with good troubleshooting.
- Highly service oriented. Similar experience in SharePoint support and training in an international environment is a must.
- Able to quickly learn existing rules and processes
- Proven track of Project management and team coaching
- Combined knowledge and interest mix between business and technology
- Structured, customer service minded, team-player, proactive and highly committed
- Ability to work independently, defining targets and prioritizing tasks in a demanding environment.
- Strong analytical skills combined with good level of communication and training skills
- English (fluent written and spoken). Other European languages are a plus
