Finance Manager/General Ledger Manager/AAT Accounts Manager Wanted
Skills needed: month end accounting, VAT return, invoice, accounting systems.
My Hampshire based client is looking for a Finance Manager/General Ledger Manager/AAT Accounts Manager for a 7 month contract.
The Finance Manager/General Ledger Manager/AAT Accounts Manager role:
To ensure that the client's General Ledger and Fixed Assets Register are maintained promptly and accurately in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and that financial accounts are produced at period and year ends in accordance with agreed timetables
Skills and experience needed for the Finance Manager/General Ledger Manager/AAT Accounts Manager role:
*To ensure that key control accounts are reconciled at month ends.
*To ensure that staff pay and claim files from external sources are received and fully input into the accounting system.
*Completion of month end accounting entries and journals in accordance with scheduled deadlines.
*To assist in the preparation of the client's year end Statutory and whole of Government accounts.
*To ensure that the client's fixed asset register is updated promptly and accurately and the fixed asset register is reconciled to the General Ledger and monthly balance sheet, liaison with sites re revaluations and re-lifes, advising on correct treatment.
*To prepare the client's VAT return and ensure that the VAT control accounts reconcile.
*To manage the client's interface with DBS re Defence Bills
*To provide cover when necessary for the Daily Cash Management routines, to include cash identification and investment processes; liaising with Bankers as appropriate,
*To provide cover when necessary to liaise with MOD centre with regard to payment of Loans; Interest and Dividend payments.
*To provide cover when necessary for the maintenance of Redundancy Provision Control spreadsheet.
