Description
The brokerage division of an investment bank in downtownChicagois currently seeking IT Development Manager that can lead a skilled team of full-time developers about to take on a major application development project.The team will be working with front office, revenue generating lines of business. A strong financial background, especially within the brokerage space, is an absolute necessity for this position. In addition to managing their own team, the IT Development Manager will be collaborating closely with clients, Business Analyst and Projects mangers to ensure timely and high quality projects.
This position is a hands-off managerial role, although previous technical experience will be required.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop, train and lead a team of skilled application developers
- Collaborate with other teams to set development timelines and priorities
- Ensure integrity of application deliverables
- Lead the development team during a new middleware banking application project
Qualifications for this role include:
- Strong written and communication skills
- 2-5 years of management experience within the financial space
- 5-7 years of technical experience
- Previous Brokerage experience
- Previous technical experience with C# and .Net applications is preferable
- Previous technical experience with Javascript, SQL Server, Visual Studio and Oracle are preferred
