A leading pharmaceutical company based in Waterford are looking to hire a Senior QC Chemist to join their quality department. The company develops, registers and manufactures their products on site to distribute globally. This is an exciting role for a QC chemist who is looking to progress and lead a team.As the Senior Quality Control Chemist you will assist the laboratory manager in achieving goals and day to day scheduling of laboratory activities. The senior QC chemist is also responsible for:
-Using the existing laboratory tools to generate and maintain performance related metrics.
-Timely completion of deviations and investigations.
-Reporting on deviations.
-Assisting with data reviewing.
-Identifying training requirements and carrying out training.
-Calibrating laboratory equipment.
-Documentation.
-Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with required standards conforming to company, cGxP, SOPs, regulatory regulations and guidelines, safety and environmental guidelines.
-Identifying improvements.
Skills:
-Analytics techniques - HPLC.
-Operation of laboratory instrumentation.
-Computer skills to include MS office, ECDL cert is an advantage.
-Multi-tasking.
-People management.
-Project management.
Requirements:
-Relevant third level qualification.
-Min 5 years relevant experience.
