My client a leading Medical Design Consultancy are seeking experienced Mechanical Design Engineers with some of the below experience:
*Design of small plastic mechanisms and housings for high volume manufacture in a small dynamic team
*Contribute to creating concepts for products and mechanisms
*Reducing prototype systems to robust designs.
*Detail component design through to tooling and introduction to manufacture.
*Use of design tools to optimise mechanical and moulding properties
*Support of products in late stage development and manufacture
Specific areas of competence will include:
*Use of ProEngineer Wildfire 5 CAD/PDMLink for the design of complex parts and assemblies including advanced surfaces. Understanding and experience of managing multi-component assembly structures is essential.
*Experience of design management and assurance in a medical/pharmaceutical context
*Ability to produce high quality drawings for components and assemblies
*Design of test rigs and prototypes
*Expertise in the design of injection moulded components. Understanding of mould tools and their validation an advantage.
