Summary:

SQL Server DBA Developer needed to provide the required database development expertise to guide the in-house data replication capability using CDC. Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a development team that is responsible for the architecture, design and development of SQL Server data replication capability based upon CDC
  • Responsible for providing SQL Server expertise to the development organization
  • Responsible for providing CDC expertise to the development organization
  • Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the replication system
  • Work with the team to ensure that associated hardware resources allocated to the databases ensuring high availability and optimum performance.
  • Pro-actively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
  • Providing trend analyses to the service management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years writing stored procedures, SQL statements, views, SQL functions using T-SQL in SQL Server environment
  • Experience using SQL Server CDC functionality for data replication
  • Required ability to work with technical and business users to build data driven solutions using proven database design best practices and database development strategies
  • Must be familiar with all SQL Server technologies related to versions 2005 and 2008r2
  • Strong hands on knowledge of database security, disk subsystems, database syntax and development best practices
  • Thorough experience with database management in support of multiple production database management systems
  • Deeply familiar with disaster recovery and high availability concepts such as clustering, log shipping and SQL Litespeed for backup.
  • Advanced working knowledge in monitoring and troubleshooting complex database queries using a pragmatic approach.
