Description
A leading defence client has a new requirement for a SC Cleared Infrastructure Engineer for an initial period of 6 months. Please note that due to the nature of this position, candidates must hold a current SC level Security Clearance.
Our client is looking to recruit 2 Infrastructure Engineers with specific experience with VMware and ideally VMware VCP qualified. This role will mainly be based in Mons in Belgium, with occasional travel to their site in Filton, Bristol
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the overall implementation of new technologies.
- As required lead on technical development work.
- Assist in testing and rollout of developed technologies.
- Troubleshoot support issues as required.
- Contribute to the improvement and efficiency of the Special Projects Team
Skills/Experience:
- VMware ESX/ESXi
- A high level of proficiency with Server Operating Systems, including Microsoft Windows Server
- A high level of proficiency with Desktop Operating Systems, including MS DOS, MS Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7
- Networking, including Ethernet LAN, Wireless, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SMTP, FTP, VPN
- Directory Services, including Active Directory, Group policy, Terminal services
- Excellent Communication skills
- Comfortable fielding calls in a dynamic support environment
- Strong experience with talking customers through to resolution
- Virtualisation Technologies, including, vSphere, VirtualCenter, VDI, Vmotion, Citrix Presentation Server, Microsoft - App-V (formally Softgrid)
- Databases, including SQL Server, Oracle
- Secure systems experience
- SAN experience
- SC/DV Cleared
