Usability Designer/User Interface Designer & Developer - C2 Preferred but not required. Candidate will create complex user interfaces for a variety of web, desktop and workflow applications. Must have an advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The UI Designer will transform highly complex concepts and requirements into application interfaces that are easy to use and understand. He/she will need to apply superior visual design craftsmanship to support the web development process and anticipate user needs.
Must have solid skills in Front End web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Be able to create solid, user-friendly designs and have a portfolio of work to demonstrate first-hand experience. Familiarity with browser-independent coding techniques is a must. Candidate must be able to translate business requirements into wireframes, screen mock-ups, and prototypes. Ability to elicit requirements, create a design, present it to business units and IS staff, and achieve buy-in from each.
Must have the ability to coordinate with other departments, organizing information to be useful for the audience of the department. Must also ensure that the design and integration of proposed process, system, software, and hardware solutions lead to the development and growth of the business through effective use of technology. Ensuring that department policies, acceptable procedures and standard methodologies are used in all reviews. Ensure cohesion in the customer area and assist both technical and customer departments in the development of the systems. Gain an understanding of the big picture; direction of the various business units, and facilitate the transfer of this understanding to others in the supported business unit.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Provide estimates and timelines
-Deliver detailed artifacts and assets for software applications
-Wireframe, storyboard, prototype, and test complex user interfaces
-Work with usability team, design architects and development teams to ensure a superb user experience
-Work with business analyst to develop and iterate design mockups, user stories, and other design documents
Develop user interface design artifacts such as user scenarios, task models, wireframes, and conceptual and formal prototypes and demos that can be used in iterative work sessions with customers, as marketing tools, or documentation for developers to code the application. Provide Front End code and graphics to be used by
development.
Perform heuristic evaluations and work flow analyses, ensuring the user interface designs complement the IS strategic and architectural direction.
In an effort to enhance the user experience of each application, plan and conduct user centered design activities, such as usability studies, field studies, card sorting, and affinity diagramming. Provide formal documentation of the results of each activity to be used for input to the information architecture of applications and for justification of
funding needs for system enhancements that will improve the user experience.
Provide appropriate support and technical documentation to help maintain design and usability integrity. This may include serving as subject matter expert and creating and establishing standards, best practices, and processes for browser based applications systems.
