POSITION: Scada Services Engineer for San Francisco, CA (non-local candidates considered)
Global Energy Management organization is seeking a Services Engineer for the San Francisco, CA area. In this role you will be responsible for supporting both remotely and locally the identified hardware and software components of the delivered solution. The Engineer executes support as required for projects which typically includes configuration of SCADA products, implementation of database systems, a variety of hardware platforms and occasional software development to meet specific client requirements. The Services Engineer will take daily direction from the customer.
- Experience in the delivery of Industrial Automation and/or Information Management Systems
- Controller (PLC, RTU, PC, DCS) programming
- SCADA configuration
- Hardware systems experience (Front End Processors, Modem banks, WAN, VPN)
- SCADA hardware configuration and software conceptual design
- Networking and communications hardware and conceptual design
- Controller (PLC, RTU, PC, DCS) hardware configuration and software conceptual design
- Database and MES technologies and conceptual design
- Knowledge of project management software tools (MS Excel, MS Project, ParaTrac)
- Solid technical report writing skills
The ideal candidate should be familiar and capable with the following:
- SCADA Systems
- CitectSCADA
- Natural Gas Transmission and Distribution
- VB Scripting
- IEC-61131 language (specifically Structured Text and Function Blocks)
- OPC connectivity
- Network setup and SCADA protocol ports
- EFM data collection (ie. Automation Solutions AES OPC Driver, FlowCal, etc.)
- Database management and query using SQL ANSI 92
