Description
As a Systems Administrator you will have demonstrated experience in the management, monitoring and reporting on a heterogeneous Windows Server, Cisco networking and Unix server environment.
Your responsibilities
- Provide support for the Windows Server infrastructure including planning, installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Provide technical advice to clients
- Ability to work outside the core support hours of 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday
- Ability to perform on-call duties when rostered
Your skills
- Possess a strong working knowledge of one or more of the following:
- Windows Server support including capacity planning, installation, configuration, backup and restore, maintenance and support
- Cisco networking gear support including specification, installation, configuration, maintenance and support
- Unix server support including capacity planning, installation, configuration, backup and restore, maintenance and support
- Possess a strong working knowledge of one or more of the following: Splunk or other data aggregation systems/System Center Configuration Manager (SCOM)/Statseeker/Nagios
- Possess a working technical knowledge of server hardware and configuration, and networking peripherals
- Ability to provide operational reporting on a number of heterogeneous monitoring environments
- Ability to analyse technical processes and provide advice for service improvement
- Strong client service delivery focus
