IMMEDIATE HIRE for a Network Engineer! This position is a 12 month contract (potential to extend) and is located in Sydney, Australia. Qualified candidate must have exceptional verbal and written English skills with the ability to work in a Global environment with a flexible hour concept.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work closely with Network Architect to understand and comply with Network architectural standards.
2. Work closely with Solution Architect, and Product Architect or developer to understand the business requirement.
3. Work closely with project management teams to ensure that project deliverables are understood and time lines are met.
4. Translate business requirement to detail or network designs.
5. Produce a detailed documentation set that includes implementation instructions for handover to implementation resources, implementation of configuration on customer-facing devices.
6. Act in the capacity of a senior network engineer working on tasks, incidents, projects throughout the Data Center networks per approved change window and architectural guidelines.
7. Update and maintain all documentation requested by management and will be tasked with improving such documentation as required.

REQUIRED:
1. Minimum 5+ years experience in Enterprise or complex network environments.
2. Hands-on experience in network, switching and routing with knowledge of Checkpoint Firewalls preferred.
3. 5+ years of design and implementation experience of routing VoIP Networks and design and implementation experience of L2 networks
4. 5+ years experience with other protocols Radius, Tacacs+ and SNMP.
5. 3+ years hands-on experience in a mission critical production environment of greater than 100 Servers.
6. 3+ years hands-on experience with enterprise-grade monitoring system such as SolarWinds, Zenoss, etc.
7. Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies and software tools for performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
8. Minimum of 2 years direct experience in project roll-outs and large-scale Wi-Fi network.
9. TCP/IP Networking and troubleshooting experience in multi-operating system environments.
10. Experience with MGCP, H323, SIP, Cisco product line and fluent in at least one Scripting language.
11. Expert knowledge in Frame Relay, MPLS, VPN, ATM, and ISDN.
12. Solid understanding of network infrastructure running VoIP, QoS, SIP, MGCP, H323, video conferencing and video streaming.
13. Experience setting policies, procedures, network software and hardware standards, and documentation standards.

DESIRED:
1. Exposure to integrated Public/Private Computing cloud infrastructures.
2. Experience with Asterisk PBX variants eg Trixbox, etc.
3. Familiarity with ITIL processes is a plus.
4. Experience administering and deploying network load balancers, commercial solutions such as Cisco CSS, F5 BigIP, and Citrix Netscaler and open source solutions such as NGNIX, Varnish, and Zen.
5. Exposure to some of the following tools: Snort, Nessus, nmap, ntop, NA/Sniffer Pro, snoop, tcpdump, Wireshark and other Open Source network and security applications.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent job experience.

CERTIFICATIONS:
1. CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CCDA or CCDP
2. CCIE certification highly desired!
