Description

Stoneburn are a premier Google Enterprise partner and Amazon Web Services Solution Provider. We specialise in cloud solutions, and work with customers from 100 to 100,000 staff. We’re not encumbered with legacy systems and we’re in a very exciting field, so it’s no surprise we are doubling in size every few months. We are actively looking to bring new talent into our team as we continue to expand and win new projects, and we are constantly on the look-out for individuals with the enthusiasm and talent to help build a world class Cloud Services business.

Our customers include some of the UK's largest and most loved high street retailers, media, logistics and transport companies.

The role

We are seeking a web application developer to join our growing Application Development team. We need a full-stack engineer, who can build a small web application themselves, top to bottom.

Our ideal candidate would have deep experience with either Java or Python web development, but also the ability, desire and flexibility, to learn other languages and technologies quickly. Our target platform is Google App Engine, so you have to at least know what that is and what its tradeoffs are, but you don't have to have used it before.

What we're looking for

  • Experience with Java and/or Python MVC web frameworks
  • HTML, CSS and JavaScript experience (preferably with strong JQuery skills and experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS)
  • Experience with both front & back-end development
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to multi-task on multiple projects at once if necessary
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You go to the top of the pile if you have experience with:

  • Academic Computer Science (BSc/MSc or equivalent)
  • Google App Engine, Heroku or another similar cloud platform
  • Non-relational (NoSQL) databases
  • A complex web API (preferably by Google)
