My client, a market leading Medical Device company based in Northern Illinois, has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer on an initial 6 month contract. There is a very strong likelihood of extension and potentially could offer contract-to-hire. The rate for this contract is between $65 and $85 per hour.My client is currently seeking to add a strong Senior Design Engineer to its new product development division in order to bring a new Infusion Pump product to market. This will involve the full product development lifecycle from cradle to grave. In particular this role will focus on Design of plastic components within the electro-mechanical device, Design Analysis, Failure Analysis and Medical Risk Analysis.
Candidates for this position must have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelors Degree of higher within either Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years Medical Device Industry experience
- Full Product Development lifecycle experience
- Advanced product design experience
- Strong track record in FMEA
- Proven background in Risk Analysis (Design Risk or Medical Risk)
