Position: Electronics Engineer (FPGA)Reference: £36 per hour
Role: To work within a small team developing a novel laser printing solution. Specifically to design build and tests a high speed print head controller.

General:
The candidate should be qualified to degree together with a good understanding of digital electronics. The should also have a good track record and at least 3 years industrial experience designing with FPGA technology. They should be familiar with VHDL or similar and should also be able to design systems for high speed data transfer and storage in local memory. Preferably the person should also be capable of designing pcb layout, organise its manufacture, and test. There will therefore be some requirement for 'hands on' circuit build and testing. They will also work with other team members to ensure the solution integrates with front end software and laser driver firmware modules.
The candidate will report to the programme manager and be expected to contribute to a small hardware team working within a dedicated R&D department. They need to have the ability to work with suppliers and sub-contractors where necessary. They must also be capable of working to time constraints to ensure designs are available when required within the overall development program. He or she must be self motivated, flexible and capable of producing results.
They should be prepared to travel both in theUKand abroad and should preferably hold a current driving licence.
