An Optical Engineer with an expertise in critical dimension metrology is required by global leading semiconductor manufacturer on a long term contract basis. These systems are used by the major semiconductor manufacturers to create integrated circuits that power an array of electronic, communications and IT products. The successful candidate will have a chance to work in the Engineering and Development Department, with state of the art technology and work alongside world-class engineers.

Job Responsibilities
- You will use your knowledge of CD metrology to help assess the imaging performance of the lithography scanners.
- An important challenge is to make sure that the CD metrology methods and algorithms are capable of measuring with the right accuracy and reproducibility.
- You will be part of a group of people with similar competencies, working together to increase the CD metrology know-how, making sure to be prepared for challenges ahead.
- You will take care of the daily CD metrology operation (creating CD SEM/OCD measurement recipes, queuing wafers, managing large data sets, monitoring equipment, etc.).
- Your role will be to review test plans, to determine the right metrology strategy (including the sampling strategy to assure the required confidence levels versus measurement time) and to support the project team by timely providing the required metrology data sets and conclusions.

Job Requirement
- BSc/MSc/PhD in applied physics, applied mathematics or engineering).
- Experience (2- 5 years) in the semiconductor industry, preferably in in-line metrology or lithography.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of CD SEM or OCD, as well as demonstrable affinity with statistics are required.
- Must hold an EU passport or a long term work permit in the Netherlands

- Candidate should be able to work independently in a dynamic explorative environment (typically around 20% work in cleanroom environment).
- Practical, innovative, hands-on and self-motivated.
- You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Be a self-starter who can take initiatives and have the determination to achieve results.
- Team-player with good communication skills.
- Robust personality is a must.
- Flexible and committed.
